Most US workers prefer a mix of working from home and at an office. They say it positively impacts their ability to be creative, solve problems and build relationships. As a result, the majority (72%) of corporate leaders plan to offer a hybrid model, but offering hybrid working is easy - getting the hybrid right will be hard.

A recent Harvard Business Review article presented four innovative strategies for building future hybrid working that works. In an Ask HBR webinar, Heiser and Steelcase CEO Sara Armbruster discusses these strategies for building hybrid working of the future, dissecting and explaining these design strategies:

  • Braid the digital and physical experience
  • Flip enclosed and open spaces
  • Shift from fixed to fluid
  • Balance “we” and “me” work
