Picus Security joins the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association
The association integrates Picus’ cyber-resilience platform with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel
Picus Security, a breach and attack simulation vendor, has announced it’s joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA).
A consortium of independent software vendors and managed security service providers, MISA offers integrated solutions to help defend against constantly evolving threats.
By simulating real-world threats, such as ransomware and advanced persistent threats (APTs), the Complete Security Control Validation platform from Picus provides targeted mitigation content and actionable insights to close visibility and coverage gaps. Security posture management is made easier by mapping results to globally-acessible MITRE ATT&CK framework.
With the integration of Picus' security platform with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel, customers can now fine-tune alert rules and security automation to protect critical data and assets from cyber attacks.
"The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association has grown into a vibrant ecosystem comprised of the most reliable and trusted security software vendors across the globe,” said Maria Thomson, MISA lead.
“Our members, like Picus Security, share Microsoft's commitment to collaboration within the cybersecurity community to improve our customers' ability to predict, detect, and respond to security threats faster.”
Additionally, Picus' security platform allows Microsoft customers using Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel to assess security alert generation, ingestion of security event logs, telemetry, and more.
Picus Security CTO Volkan Erturk said: "With threats evolving more rapidly than ever, it is essential that organizations continuously assess the performance of their security controls to ensure that they remain effective.”
"By joining MISA and integrating our security validation solution with Microsoft's detection technology, we aim to make it simpler and less resource intensive for security teams to be proactive and keep network and endpoint controls optimally-tuned to defend against the latest threats," added Erturk.
